1. Lower Competition
We all know that wandering around in the rain is considerably less enjoyable than staying warm and dry inside, and as a result, display villages
consistently see a lower number of visitors during winter. Less people looking at house = less competition for you when it comes to finding the right
block and the right agent to guide you through.
2. Land Rebates
Selling land is a numbers game, and a competitive one at that. As sales dwindle in the winter months, many estates will offer attractive land rebates up
to $20,000 off to entice buyers. Make sure you ask your agent if there are any land rebates available before you make your decision on a block.
3. Construction Times
Considering construction times is an important element of building your new home. Many builders can take 12+ months to hand over the keys. Here at Start Right,
we keep our Admin streamlined and our construction times fast. We allow 3 months for admin and 5 months to build, with a total 8 month construction time from contract
to handover. However, if you sign-off in autumn, construction will be commencing on your home in winter, which can delay key handover by a couple of weeks if the
weather is rough. If you time it right and signoff on your new home at the start of winter, 3 months admin will fly by and we'll be on site when the sun starts shining in spring,
getting you into your new home faster!
4. $10,000 First Home Buyers Grant
First Home Buyers have recently had $5,000 removed from the boost and now there is talk of the $10,000 First Home Buyers Grant disappearing entirely. The grant can
make a massive difference to your borrowing capacity and whether or not you need to dip into your savings for a deposit so if you're looking to build,
now might be your last chance to score a free $10,000!
